Be Thankful and Wait (Gen. 13:14~18)

꿈꾸고 믿고 창조적 말을 하고 감사하고 기다리라

 

Today, countless people are struggling with the hardship of sufferings. There is no one without sufferings in this world. People cannot escape from the shackle of sufferings no matter how hard they try because thorns and thistles are filled everywhere since Adam and Eve rebelled against God.

오늘날 많은 사람들이 고난의 풍파에 시달리고 있습니다. 이 땅에 태어난 사람치고 고난을 겪지 않는 인생은 아무도 없습니다. 아담과 하와가 하나님을 반역한 이후 가는 곳마다 가시와 엉겅퀴가 가득하여 아무리 애를 써도 고난의 굴레를 벗어날 수가 없기 때문입니다.

 

1. A suffering life

1. 고난을 당한 인생

 

1) People are discouraged and fall in despair when they face sufferings because they have no one to rely on. There is no one to rely on in this world. We cannot gain true peace from people, materials, and power.

1) 고난을 당할 때 낙심하고 절망하는 것은 의지할 대상이 없기 때문입니다. 이 세상에는 의지할 대상이 없습니다. 사람, 물질, 권력으로는 참된 평안을 얻을 수 없습니다.

 

2) Those who believe in God do not fall in despair before sufferings. This is because they are able to go before a good God and ask for His help. Those who rely on God will never fail. We are not alone. God of Immanuel helps us.

2) 하나님을 믿는 사람은 고난 앞에서 절망하지 않습니다. 좋으신 하나님께 나아가 그의 도우심을 요청할 수 있기 때문입니다. 하나님을 의지하는 사람은 결코 실패하지 않습니다. 여러분은 혼자가 아닙니다. 임마누엘의 하나님께서 우리를 도와주십니다.

 

2. Dream, believe and pray

2. 꿈꾸고 믿고 기도하라

 

1) The promises of the land and descendants that Abraham received from God did not come to pass automatically. When he used the law of looking, those promises were fulfilled. What we need to look at is the cross of Jesus. We must look to the cross of Calvary and believe in it.

1) 아브라함이 하나님께 받은 땅과 후손에 대한 약속은 저절로 이루어지지 않았습니다. 그가 바라봄의 법칙을 사용했을 때 비로소 그 약속이 성취되었습니다. 우리가 바라보아야 할 것은 예수님의 십자가입니다. 갈보리 십자가를 바라보고 믿어야 합니다.

 

2) Jesus has promised us that He will be with us until the end of the world. Look to the cross of Jesus who conquered the power of sin and death and pray fervently until peace comes into our hearts.

2) 예수님은 세상 끝날까지 우리와 함께하실 것을 약속하셨습니다. 죄와 사망의 권세를 이기신 예수님의 십자가를 바라보며 마음에 평안이 올 때까지 간절히 기도하십시오.

 

3. Entrust God with everything and thank Him

3. 하나님께 맡기고 감사하라

 

1) No matter how difficult our circumstances may be, we cannot but give thanks when we think about the goodness of God. Even if our life is painful and difficult, we cannot but give thanks and praise if we look to our good God and think about how much He loves us.

1) 아무리 환경이 어렵고 힘들어도 하나님의 선하심을 생각하면 감사하지 않을 수가 없습니다. 삶이 고통스럽고 힘들어도 눈을 들어 좋으신 하나님을 바라보고 하나님께서 나를 얼마나 사랑하시는가를 생각하면 감사와 찬양을 드리지 않을 수가 없습니다.

 

2) Giving thanks to God is the language that brings changes and creation. If we give thanks to God, He saves us and brings the works of changes and creation in our life.

2) 하나님께 드리는 감사는 변화와 창조를 가져오는 언어입니다. 우리가 하나님께 감사하면, 하나님께서 우리를 구원하시고 우리 삶에 변화와 창조의 역사를 베풀어 주십니다.

 

4. Be patient in prayer

4. 인내하며 기도하라

 

1) We must not give up and pray to the end until the answers to our prayers come. We must set clear goals, pray intensively, and by not being discouraged with a fervent heart.

1) 기도의 응답이 올 때까지 포기하지 말고 끝까지 기도해야 합니다. 분명한 목표를 정하고 집중적으로 기도하고, 뜨겁고 간절한 마음으로 낙심하지 말고 기도해야 합니다.

 

2) We meet God who is alive through the answers of our prayers and are able to have stronger faith.

2) 우리는 기도 응답을 통해 살아계신 하나님을 만나고 더욱 굳센 믿음을 갖게 됩니다.

 

Conclusion

When facing difficulties, do not be discouraged or fall in despair and go before God and pray. Look to the cross of Jesus, have dreams in your heart, believe in those dreams, give thanks, and pray. Then, God who is almighty and good will answer your prayers and bring the works of changes and creation.

어렵고 힘든 일을 당할 때 낙심하거나 절망하지 말고 하나님 앞에 기도하십시오. 예수님의 십자가를 바라보고 가슴속에 꿈을 품고 믿고 감사하고 기도하십시오. 전능하시고 좋으신 하나님께서 여러분의 기도에 응답하셔서 변화와 창조의 역사를 베풀어 주실 것입니다.
